The best photo ever taken! And I am convinced, the reason why I have been studying for nearly two years. It started with a simple question “we going out?”… and before you knew it we had the memory of a lifetime. Seriously – I will never EVER forget it.My mom simply said “Mama, I’m going to have a cosmo and I think you would like it….”And the rest is history.
Most importantly – it inspired me to search for adventure and be more present in my life. I love my Mimi. And despite time and distance, she is an inspiration to me.
I love this photo for how it jumpstarted me, and gave me a mission to live life bigger and to live it surrounded by people I love.
You are never to old for an adventure, or for a new cocktail. Here’s to you Mildred!

Post a commentJennifer? This is your cousin, Jaynie…your Aunty Helen’s daughter. I have been reading this blog and crying volumes. Such a beautfiful tribute! I wish I could tell you which post is my favorite but that is impossible. I do especially love the one with Aunty Mim’s hands readying to clutch a goblet. Her hands are identical to my mother’s hands and their mother’s as well. . You have done a wonderful job here. Just last week I was going through my mother’s recipes and found a few that Mimi had given her. The photography is excellent and the posts, heart-warming…toasty actually :-).
Jaynie…
SO great hearing from you. She was pretty special and had an impact on me beyond words and pictures. I find myself looking over the photos from the last year and thinking what a gift to have had that time with her. It means a great deal to me that you her as inspirational and heart warming as I did.
