Perfect Gentleman

We each made our way to the table and Dad stood gallantly by as we placed our plates.  I love the fact he pulled the chair out for both Mom and me.  It is such a small kindness but such a gentlemanly gesture.  My friend PD, who spent some time with us this visit, has always opened the car door for me – no matter where, no matter when.  I would just like to say how very much the gesture means to me.  As an independent and capable woman you might not  think so…  I love the differences between men and women and the notion of simple gestures to watch over one another.  It is lovely to be so cherished and I love this set of photos for just that reason.
