Joann Campbell’s TDF Biscuits
1/4 CUP SHORTENING (CRISCO)
2 CUPS SELF-RISING FLOUR (MARTHA WHITE)
2/3 CUP MILK (sometimes I use buttermilk & whole mixed together)
cut shortening into flour with pastry blender until crumbly
add milk, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened.turn dough out onto a lighly floured surface, sprinkle flour over top of dough and knead lightly 3 or 4 times…pat or roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness… (i pat mine)
cut with a 2-inch round cutter, place on a lighly greased baking sheet (with shortening)
I melt butter and brush over top of unbaked doughbake at 475 for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown (pre heat your oven impt)
good luck usually no fail
