Nikki and KC
It was KC’s recommendation to go to Sissy’s. He had read a review and highly suggested it. The review also included a glowing recommendation for Nikki – our Goddess and Princess. She was great fun – definitely inspired some good conversation – and took really great care of us. And she helped make a good night a great night. Thanks Nikki and thanks KC.
SW in spirit
SW was in Seoul Korea for this week’s PM. The “white rascal” had no noodles all week and was going through withdrawals. I think we all agreed that Sissy’s would definitely make SW smile. A must for his next trip to Dallas!
Why a Gin Fizz?
I LOVE weddings! Even more so when they are the daughter of a dear friend marrying an absolute darling and they take place in one of the most beautiful spots on the planet – Lake Tahoe. And that is precisely the sentiment of last weekend…. LOVE. During the lovefest, I had my very first Gin Fizz. Awesomely good cocktail – even by PD standards (the cocktail purist of life). So, when it came time to toast Mimi, in the Sissy’s environment, it seemed totally like the time to share my new found fave. For all, they went down exceedingly easy and kicked off a really great evening. Way to go Gin Fizz! You are two for two!
Gin Fizz
In large cocktail shaker, combine gin, orange blossom water, egg white, half-and-half, lemon juice, lime juice, and simple syrup. Shake vigorously for 25 seconds. Add ice and shake for 30 seconds more.
Strain mixture into 8-ounce glass. Slowly pour soda water down inside edge of shaker to loosen remaining froth. Gently ease soda water/froth mix onto drink and serve.
