Julia Child

August 15, 2012 marked what would have been Julia Child’s 100th Birthday….  and Mimi’s 98th.  Often when I tell people about Project Mimi, they respond by likening it to the movie Julia and Julia.   A compliment I am sure, but that book and movie seemed more about the cooking and the food.  Sure, in PM the food is important, but the real message is about sharing.  Food is a part of that, time as well,  but mostly its about friends and family.  I love my PM crew and they have made this summer a really great memory.  One can’t, however, not recognize some of the cosmic coincidences of it all when Julia and Mimi share the same birthday. 

And one last thing…  In the spirit of Mimi, and Julia too, PM is about continuing to engage.. to be vital and to possess that joie de vivre… love of life…. that I know Mimi has, and I think Julia had.
