Mary Ann’s Cake 

1 egg

1/2 cup cocoa

1/2 cup butter

1 1/2 cup flour

1/2 cup sour milk *

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup hot water

In a greased tube pan bake at 350 about 30 minutes…  This is a smallish cake… Note: to make sour milk, pour milk into cup and add about 1T vinegar and let sit awhile to sour.

Fudge Icing

1 cup sugar

1/3 cup milk

3 T butter

1 square chocolate

1 teaspoon Vanilla

Stir until the butter melts.  Bring to a boil and boil 1 1/2 minutes- 2 minutes.  Add vanilla and beat.  Note… this is just like fudge.  Beat it until it loses its gloss and watch it as it will turn in a hurry and get too hard.  Tricky.
